Buddy Guy is a legend of the blues world. At 85 years young he has carried the torch for the blues for over seventy years. Born under segregation, and losing his mother at an early age set him on the path for the blues, and once he had a guitar and made his way to Chicago he was destined for greatness. Starting as a house musician, he went on to work with legends such as Muddy Waters and Junior Wells, then going solo and playing electric blues that influenced everyone from Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and the Rolling Stones.
Today he still tours, keeping the blues alive for younger generations and helping the stars of tomorrow rise, such as Quinn Sullivan and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.
